Legal / Demand Notice

Bilingual private demand notice with facts, demand, deadline, and rights reserved—plus a Government-recipient caution.

How to use this template

Service checklist: 1) Complete and sign the notice (self-drafted or through an advocate). 2) Record the mode of service: registered post / courier / personal delivery. 3) Keep acknowledgement/tracking slips. 4) Keep a copy of the notice, proof of sending, and diary the deadline. 5) If the recipient is Government/a public officer, verify CPC section 80 timing (see Legal notes). 6) For high-stakes disputes, have an advocate draft the notice.

Legal notes (read before signing)

Sample only. Private demand notices are common practice in Bangladesh; this is not a court-certified form. If the recipient is the Government or a public officer, Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) section 80 may require a special notice and roughly a two-month wait before suit—use a separate format/timeline. Consult an advocate before filing a case.

Authority reference: Bangladesh practice for private demand notices; CPC s.80 (Government suits). Reviewer: Pending lawyer panel review. Next review: 2026-10-01.
