Using AdalotBD (including browsing, chat, guided flows, rights guides, templates, or help pages) constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Legal Disclaimer. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms for future use.
What AdalotBD is
AdalotBD is an AI-powered legal information and education platform focused on Bangladesh law. We help people understand what the law generally says, find starting points, and explore guides and templates. AdalotBD is not a law firm, chambers, or legal aid clinic, and it does not provide licensed legal services.
No legal advice and no attorney–client relationship
Everything on AdalotBD is general legal information, not legal advice. Using the site does not create an attorney–client, advocate–client, or confidential professional relationship with AdalotBD or any person affiliated with it. Nothing here is a substitute for advice from a qualified advocate licensed in Bangladesh who understands your facts.
AI-generated outputs
Chat answers and other AI-assisted content may be incomplete, outdated, biased, or incorrect (“hallucinations”). Citations and retrieved passages may be partial or misaligned with your facts. You must independently verify important information against official sources and, for decisions that affect rights, property, liberty, family, employment, or money, consult a qualified advocate. You alone are responsible for how you use any output.
Features covered
These Terms cover the AI chat assistant, guided help flows, Know Your Rights guides, document templates and fillers, the help/helpline directory, and related pages. Features may change, be limited, or be unavailable without notice as we improve the product.
Templates and tools
Templates, checklists, and guided flows are educational starters. They are not guaranteed to be court-ready, notarisation-ready, or suitable for every district, forum, or fact pattern. Local practice, forms, fees, and procedures vary. Have important documents reviewed by a qualified advocate before signing, filing, or serving them.
Acceptable use
You may use AdalotBD only for lawful purposes. You must not: use the service to commit, plan, or conceal crime; harass or harm others; attempt to bypass security; scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service in a way that harms availability; submit malware; impersonate others; or misuse outputs as if they were formal legal opinions or court filings without human review. We may suspend or block access for abuse.
Accounts
Sign-in and sign-up interfaces may be shown before full account features launch. Until accounts are fully enabled, treat any account-related screens as limited or experimental. You are responsible for any credentials you create once accounts go live.
Intellectual property
AdalotBD’s branding, site design, curated content, and software are owned by AdalotBD or its licensors. You keep ownership of the text you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, transmit, and display that text as needed to operate and improve the service (including abuse prevention and quality review), consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers of warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AdalotBD and its operators, contributors, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of or reliance on the service or any AI output, template, guide, or helpline listing — whether based on contract, tort, or otherwise. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent allowed by Bangladesh law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AdalotBD and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your publication or filing of content generated or assisted by the service without appropriate professional review.
Changes and access
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may refuse or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been violated.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction’s law.
